Grand Blue Beginner Guide: First-Session Route, Stats, and Early Progression
What is Grand Blue?
Grand Blue is an open-world pirate action RPG on Roblox by Eternal Pose. Players travel between islands, follow quest chains, fight open-world bosses, and strengthen a persistent character through Cursed Fruits, races, traits, weapons, and fighting styles.
The game is currently in Early Access, so systems and balance may change with updates.
Your First Session
Step 1: Character Setup & Codes
Before spending any rerolls, check the current codes in the game's Discord or community trackers. Redeem codes via the main menu → Customize Character → Enter Code field.
Preserve your free race and trait choices — don't waste rerolls early.
Step 2: Tutorial & Opening Quests
Talk to Officer Graves and complete the opening quest chain in Anchor Town. This unlocks the basic combat and life-skill flow.
Step 3: Early Levels (1–30)
Spend early stat points on Health and Strength to build reliable survivability and melee damage. Follow the active main and repeatable quests in Anchor Town.
Unlocks: Setting Sail and the Boat Shop at level 30.
Step 4: Before Sailing — Get Your First Cursed Fruit
Complete Almighty Calvin's one-time dig quest (Wizard's Apprentice) for a random Cursed Fruit chest. This is your guaranteed early fruit.
Grand Blue Leveling Path
Levels 1–30: Anchor Town
Follow the main quest and repeat the Marine Base boss quest. Build your base, reach level 30, and obtain a Rowboat from the Boat Shop.
Levels 30–70: Clown Town
Run Johnny's clown-officer loop and the Buggy Clown quest for progression. Defeat Buggy the Clown to unlock travel to Maple Island.
Level 70+: Maple Village
Continue through Maple Village following the main quest and repeatable quests beyond the village.
Life Skills
Grand Blue features four life skills:
- Mining — Gather ores and materials for crafting
- Fishing — Best paired with the Seafolk race (+25% fishing XP, 15% double-fish chance)
- Farming — Grow crops for cooking and crafting
- Cooking — Prepare food for healing and buffs
Tips for New Players
- Don't waste rerolls early — Save race and trait rerolls until you understand the game.
- Join the Eternal Pose group (group ID 34564085) — Membership reportedly grants a bonus reroll.
- Focus on one Cursed Fruit — Skill levels save per fruit ID, so mastering one fruit is better than constantly switching.
- Participate in World Bosses — Hourly world bosses drop chests and valuable rewards.
- Check the Logbook — The in-game Logbook introduces systems briefly, but community wikis have deeper details.
