Gakuran Rerolling Guide — Stats, Fighting Styles & Free Rerolls

Rerolls are the core progression system in Gakuran (学乱), the open-world Japanese delinquent (Yankii) school PvP fighting sim on Roblox. Whether you're chasing the best fighting style for combat or fine-tuning your character's height, ethnicity, and accessories for the perfect look, rerolls are how you do it — and they're a limited resource. This guide covers both reroll systems in full: how to reroll your fighting style, how to reroll individual character stats, the complete fighting styles tier list with passives and rarities, how height affects combat, and every way to get free rerolls.

The Two Reroll Systems in Gakuran

Gakuran has two separate reroll systems, and understanding the difference is the first step to spending your rerolls wisely:

  1. Fighting Style reroll — changes your combat discipline (Boxing, Wrestling, Karate, etc.). This directly affects your combat performance through passive bonuses, so it should usually be your top priority.
  2. Stats reroll — changes individual character attributes like your first name, last name, gender, height, ethnicity, hair, face, and accessories. These are mostly cosmetic and identity-based.

Both systems consume the same pool of rerolls, so deciding what to spend them on matters.

How to Reroll Your Fighting Style

Your fighting style determines your combat bonuses, passive effects, and overall playstyle. Stronger styles are much rarer, so you may need many rerolls before landing the one you want.

Step-by-step:

  1. Open the menu on the right side of your screen.
  2. Select StatsNextFight Style.
  3. Press the Reroll button next to your current fighting style.
  4. Confirm the Robux purchase (or spend free rerolls from codes).
  5. A random new fighting style is assigned based on the game's rarity system.

💡 Tip: Before spending rerolls, decide which fighting style you're targeting. Check the tier list below so you know which styles are worth keeping and which to reroll again.

Gakuran Fighting Styles Tier List

Every fighting style comes with unique passive bonuses. Your character's height also plays a major role — taller characters deal more damage and have more HP, while shorter characters attack faster with a smaller hitbox. The best fighting style is the one that complements both your build and your preferred playstyle.

S Tier — The Strongest Fighting Styles

Fighting StyleRarityPassive Bonuses
BoxingEpic (10%)Untouchable — M2 attacks gain iFrames and cannot be interrupted. Perfect Reflex — Perfect Block reduces M2 cooldown by 1s. Guard Pierce III — Block Chip DMG +20%.
WrestlingLegendary (1%)Takedown — M2 grabs and slams for 1.5× damage. Heavy Hitter III — Guardbreak DMG +15%. Guard Piece II — Block Chip DMG +15%. Resilience V — 55% chance to turn a clash into a grapple.

Boxing excels at aggressive pressure with uninterruptible heavy attacks and rewards good Perfect Block timing — great for short and medium-height builds. Wrestling offers one of the strongest grab attacks in the game plus high guardbreak damage and crowd control — works especially well on taller characters.

A Tier — Extremely Strong

Fighting StyleRarityPassive Bonuses
CapoeiraLegendary (1%)Guard Piece II — Block Chip DMG +15%. Heavy Hitter I — Guardbreak DMG +5%. Powerful — M2 ragdolls opponents. Ginga — Dash cooldown reduced 25%.
KarateUncommon (30%)Steady Nerves — Perfect Block increases Posture Regen +15% for 3s. Balanced Strike — M2 restores 25% Posture. Guard Piece II — Block Chip DMG +15%. Resilience II — 25% clash-to-grapple chance.

Capoeira is the mobility pick with a much shorter dash cooldown and M2 ragdoll to create space — ideal for movement-focused players. Karate offers strong posture management and reliable defensive passives — easy to use and beginner-friendly.

B Tier — Situational but Strong

Fighting StyleRarityPassive Bonuses
HakariEpic (10%)Powerful — M2 ragdolls. Guard Piece II — Block Chip DMG +15%. Momentum Rush — Landing a full M1 combo without being stunned lets M2 deal 3× DMG for 7s.

Hakari has massive burst damage after activating Momentum Rush, but the trigger is difficult to land consistently against experienced players.

C Tier — Usable but Outclassed

Fighting StyleRarityPassive Bonuses
SluggerUncommon (30%)Unstable — Take 20% more DMG, deal 10% more. Guard Pierce V — Block Chip DMG +30%. Resilience III — 45% clash-to-grapple.
Muay ThaiUncommon (30%)Powerful — M2 ragdolls. Crushing Force II — Posture DMG +15%. Guard Pierce V — Block Chip DMG +30%. Resilience V — 55% clash-to-grapple.
BasicCommon (59%)Counterstrike — Perfect Block → next attack +5% DMG. Swift Recovery — Posture Regen +15%. Guard Piece II — Block Chip DMG +15%. Resilience II — 25% clash-to-grapple.

Basic is the starter style — easy to obtain and great for learning the combat system, but it has the lowest power ceiling and should be replaced once you unlock something stronger.

How to Reroll Individual Stats

Stats mainly control your character's appearance and identity rather than combat strength. You can reroll each attribute independently.

Step-by-step:

  1. Open the main menu from the left side of the screen.
  2. Select Stats and find the attribute you want to change.
  3. Click the circular Reroll icon beside it.
  4. Confirm the Robux purchase to randomly generate a new result for that specific stat.

All Rerollable Stats in Gakuran

Here's the complete list of attributes you can reroll:

SlotWhat It Changes
First nameYour character's given name
Last nameYour character's family name
GenderYour character's gender
HeightStature — affects damage, HP, and hitbox
EthnicityFacial features and skin tone
Fight styleYour combat discipline (see tier list above)
HairHairstyle
Hair colourHair colour
FaceFacial appearance
Head accessoryHats, headbands, headphones
Face accessoryGlasses, masks
Neck accessoryScarves, necklaces
Arm accessoryArmbands, gloves
Waist accessoryBelts, sashes

Why Height Matters More Than You Think

Your height isn't just cosmetic — it directly impacts combat:

  • Taller characters deal more damage and have more HP, making them tankier bruisers.
  • Shorter characters attack faster and have a smaller hitbox, making them harder to hit and great for aggressive, evasive playstyles.

This means your ideal fighting style depends on your height. Wrestling shines on tall characters who can leverage its grab and guardbreak bonuses, while Boxing is excellent for short and medium-height builds that rely on aggressive pressure and iFrames. Before rerolling your fighting style, make sure your height supports the playstyle you're building toward.

The Rarity System Explained

Fighting styles are assigned randomly based on rarity tiers when you reroll:

RarityDrop RateFighting Styles
Common59%Basic
Uncommon30%Karate, Slugger, Muay Thai
Epic10%Boxing, Hakari
Legendary1%Wrestling, Capoeira

This means you have only a 1% chance of rolling a Legendary style (Wrestling or Capoeira) on any given reroll. If you're targeting a specific Legendary, be prepared to spend a significant number of rerolls — or get lucky. The 10% Epic tier (Boxing, Hakari) is a more realistic target for most players and Boxing is widely considered the best overall style.

How to Get Free Rerolls

Rerolls are limited, but there are ways to stock up without spending Robux:

1. Redeem Gakuran Codes (Free)

This is the easiest way to get free rerolls. The developers release new codes with updates and milestones. Here are the latest active codes as of July 28, 2026:

CodeRerollsStatus
THECODEIS30🆕 New
QUICKPATCH15Active

Total free rerolls available: 45. For the full list including expired codes and official links, see our Gakuran Codes & Official Resources hub and our Gakuran Codes Guide.

2. Watch for Future Updates

The developers have confirmed that a new in-game currency is planned, which will let players earn rerolls just by playing. Until then, codes and Robux are the only sources.

3. Buy Rerolls with Robux

If luck isn't on your side and you don't want to wait for new codes, you can purchase rerolls or reroll bundles directly from the game's menus. Each fighting style reroll and each stat reroll has its own Robux prompt — read the price before confirming.

Tips for Spending Your Rerolls Wisely

1. Prioritize Your Fighting Style First

Your fighting style directly affects combat performance, while other stat rerolls are mostly cosmetic. Spend your first batch of rerolls chasing a strong fighting style (Boxing or Wrestling) before fine-tuning your appearance.

2. Set a Target and a Stop Point

Decide which fighting style you want before you start rerolling. If you're going for Boxing (Epic, 10%), set a mental limit — for example, stop once you get any Epic or Legendary style. This prevents you from burning through all your rerolls chasing one specific style.

3. Match Your Height to Your Style

Before committing to a fighting style, make sure your height supports it. If you want Wrestling, consider rerolling for a taller build. If you want Boxing, a short or medium build works great. See the Height Matters section above.

4. Redeem Codes Before You Start

Always claim your free codes first so you have a full reroll pool to work with. Bookmark our Gakuran Codes & Official Resources page — we update it whenever new codes drop.

5. Save Cosmetic Rerolls for Later

Once you've locked in a fighting style you're happy with, use remaining rerolls for cosmetic stats like hair, accessories, and ethnicity. For a full breakdown of customizing your look, see our Gakuran Custom Clothing Guide.

Rerolling FAQ

Can I reroll my fighting style for free? Yes — you can use free rerolls earned from active Gakuran codes. You can also spend Robux if you want to reroll immediately.

What's the best fighting style to reroll for? Boxing (Epic, 10% drop rate) is widely considered the best overall style thanks to its uninterruptible M2 attacks, iFrames, and strong block chip damage. Wrestling (Legendary, 1%) is the top pick for taller characters. See the full tier list above.

Does rerolling my height or ethnicity affect my combat stats? Height does affect combat — taller characters deal more damage and have more HP, while shorter characters attack faster with a smaller hitbox. Ethnicity, hair, face, and accessories are purely cosmetic.

How many rerolls does it take to get a Legendary fighting style? Legendary styles have a 1% drop rate, so on average you'd need around 100 rerolls to land one. Epic styles (Boxing, Hakari) at 10% are a much more realistic target — roughly 10 rerolls on average.

What happens if I reroll and don't like the result? You can reroll again as long as you have rerolls remaining. Each reroll consumes one reroll from your balance.

Are there codes for anything besides rerolls? Not currently. All active Gakuran codes reward rerolls only. Fighting styles are unlocked through rerolling, not through codes.
