Starting Pet Simulator 99 can feel overwhelming. There are hundreds of zones, thousands of pets, and a complex trading economy to learn. This checklist will get you moving in the right direction fast.
Day 1 — Getting Started
- Complete the tutorial — Don't skip it. You'll earn free pets and coins.
- Unlock your first 3 zones — Focus on coins, not exploring everything at once.
- Hatch at least 50 eggs — Volume hatching early gives you pets to trade with.
- Upgrade your hatch speed — This is your biggest early game multiplier.
- Merge 3 same pets → Golden pet. Merge 3 Goldens → Rainbow pet.
Day 2-3 — Building Your Base
- Reach Zone 10 — Unlocks better egg pools and higher-value common pets.
- Get your first Lucky pet — Boosts coin earnings significantly.
- Join a trading server — PS99 official Discord or popular community servers.
- Learn what Huge pets are — Huge pets are the core of PS99's trading economy.
- Set a goal: which Huge pet do you want first?
Day 4-5 — Your First Trade
- Check RBXPortfolio for values before every trade.
- Look up the checklist (see our Trading Checklist guide).
- Aim for Huge Basic Cat or Huge Balloon Dog as your first Huge.
- Trade up — combine multiple mid-rarity pets for one higher-rarity pet.
- Never trade your best pet for multiple smaller pets — Always upgrade, never downgrade.
Day 6-7 — Economy Basics
- Understand the Huge pet tier list — Mythical > Legendary > Rare.
- Learn Golden/Rainbow/Dark Matter variants — These multiply pet value significantly.
- Visit the Trading Plaza and watch experienced traders.
- Set up a Petfolio — List all Huges you own and their values.
- Avoid buying Robux items impulsively — Research value before spending.
Week 2 Goals
- Own at least 2-3 Huge pets
- Have traded successfully 5+ times
- Know the top 10 most valuable Huges by memory
- Joined an active trading community
- Started tracking your Petfolio value weekly
