The Forge: Boss Guide — Every Boss, Drop Table & How to Solo Them
The Forge: Boss Guide — Every Boss, Drop Table & How to Solo Them
Bosses are the primary source of rare materials and high-tier Enchantment Stones in The Forge. If you're serious about building endgame weapons or trading at the top of the economy, you need to farm bosses consistently and efficiently. This guide covers every boss from first to last.
Boss Unlock Progression
Bosses unlock in order as you level up:
| Boss | Unlock Requirement | Location |
|---|---|---|
| Iron Golem | Level 3 | Starter Mines |
| Lava Troll | Level 8 | Volcanic Zone |
| Stone Titan | Level 12 | Deep Mountain |
| Dragon Boss | Level 15 | Dragon Lair (East) |
| Void Colossus | Dragon Boss x3 | Void Realm (NW) |
| Celestial Guardian | Event Only | Event Zone |
Each boss drops progressively rarer materials and stones. The Dragon Boss and Void Colossus are the two bosses you'll farm most in the endgame.
Boss 1: Iron Golem
Difficulty: Easy Recommended Gear: Iron Sword or better
Strategy
The Iron Golem has two attacks: a slow ground slam and a throwing rock projectile. Both are telegraphed heavily — sidestep the slam, dodge the rock.
- Phase 1 (100–50%): Standard attacks only
- Phase 2 (50–0%): Gains a spinning AoE — back up when you see it wind up
Solo viability: Yes, even with basic Iron gear.
Drop Table
| Drop | Chance |
|---|---|
| Iron Ingot x5 | 80% |
| Steel Ingot x2 | 30% |
| Basic Enchant Stone | 40% |
| Refined Enchant Stone | 10% |
| Iron Core (crafting mat) | 50% |
Best use: Farm for Basic and Refined Enchant Stones early. Not worth farming past Level 8.
Boss 2: Lava Troll
Difficulty: Medium Recommended Gear: Steel Sword + Steel Armor
Strategy
The Lava Troll periodically coats itself in lava armor, reducing incoming damage by 80% until doused with a water flask (craftable from 3 Iron + 1 Water Bucket).
- Always bring 3–5 water flasks per run
- DPS the troll → when lava armor activates, throw a flask → resume DPS
- Fire enchants deal reduced damage here (-30%)
Solo viability: Yes, with the water flask mechanic understood.
Drop Table
| Drop | Chance |
|---|---|
| Obsidian x3 | 70% |
| Obsidian x8 | 20% |
| Refined Enchant Stone | 50% |
| Rare Enchant Stone | 15% |
| Lava Core (crafting mat) | 40% |
Best use: Excellent source of Obsidian and Rare Enchant Stones. Farm heavily during mid-game.
Boss 3: Stone Titan
Difficulty: Medium-Hard Recommended Gear: Obsidian Blade + Steel Armor minimum
Strategy
The Stone Titan has a Shockwave ability that sends a ground crack toward the player. Jump over it or sidestep. The Titan also summons Stone Minions at 60% HP — kill these immediately before resuming boss DPS or they overwhelm you.
- Shockwave pattern: straight line toward player position at cast time — move laterally
- Minion phase: switch to AoE strategy if available, otherwise kite and single-target
Solo viability: Yes, but challenging. Obsidian Blade with Sharpness II+ recommended.
Drop Table
| Drop | Chance |
|---|---|
| Steel Ingot x10 | 60% |
| Obsidian x5 | 50% |
| Rare Enchant Stone | 40% |
| Epic Enchant Stone | 8% |
| Titan Fragment (crafting mat) | 35% |
| Dragonite Ingot x1 | 5% |
Best use: Best non-Dragon source of Rare Enchant Stones and occasional Dragonite. Worth farming at Level 12–14 before Dragon access.
Boss 4: Dragon Boss
Difficulty: Hard Recommended Gear: Obsidian Blade with Fire Aspect + Obsidian Armor
Strategy
The Dragon Boss is the main endgame farming target. It has four attacks:
- Fire Breath: Cone in front of the Dragon. Position at the side or behind.
- Tail Swipe: 180-degree arc behind. Stay in front.
- Wing Slam: Targets a random player, heavy AoE. Run when you see the wings rise.
- Dive Bomb (Enrage, 30% HP): Targets a random position, instant cast. Watch the shadow on the ground — run opposite direction.
Key mechanic: Fire Aspect weapons deal +50% damage. This is not optional for efficient farming — always bring Fire Aspect II or higher.
Solo strategy:
- Stay at the Dragon's left flank — avoids both tail swipe and fire breath simultaneously
- Pre-pot (use a health flask) before the 30% enrage threshold
- Roll dodge through the Dive Bomb shadow, not away from it (counterintuitive but correct)
- Expected kill time solo (Obsidian Blade + Fire Aspect II): 5–7 minutes
Group strategy (3 players):
- Tank faces the Dragon head-on (absorbs fire breath, tail swipe angles away from DPS)
- 2 DPS position at flanks
- Assign a healer or designate a kiter for the enrage phase
- Expected kill time: 2–3 minutes
Drop Table
| Drop | Chance |
|---|---|
| Dragonite Ingot x1 | 60% |
| Dragonite Ingot x3 | 25% |
| Dragonite Ingot x5 | 10% |
| Dragon Scale x2 | 40% |
| Rare Enchant Stone | 25% |
| Epic Enchant Stone | 8% |
| Legendary Enchant Stone | 1% |
Best use: The most important farming boss in The Forge. You will run this hundreds of times. Optimize your Fire Aspect weapon and learn the positioning — it pays dividends every session.
Boss 5: Void Colossus
Difficulty: Very Hard Recommended Gear: Dragonite Sword + Dragonite Armor minimum
Strategy
The Void Colossus is the hardest standard boss. It deals Void damage that bypasses armor — raw HP and burst DPS are what matter here, not your defense stat.
Key mechanics:
- Void Slam: Massive AoE centered on a random player. The targeted player must sprint away from the team — don't stack.
- Void Shards (50% HP): Floating shards spawn around the boss. Designated player must destroy them — each active shard heals the boss for 2% HP per second.
- Void Pulse (20% HP): Constant AoE pulses from the boss. No dodge roll, no safe zone — pure damage race. Burn everything.
Solo viability: Theoretically possible with maxed Void Edge gear, but extremely difficult. Group of 3 strongly recommended.
Group roles:
- Player 1 (Tank/Shard Killer): Dragonite Armor, destroy shards in Phase 2
- Player 2 (DPS): Dragonite Sword + Sharpness V, focus boss
- Player 3 (DPS/Support): Soul Drain weapon to sustain through Void Pulse phase
Drop Table
| Drop | Chance |
|---|---|
| Void Steel Ingot x1 | 50% |
| Void Steel Ingot x2 | 20% |
| Void Steel Ingot x5 | 5% |
| Void Dust x3 | 60% |
| Legendary Enchant Stone | 10% |
| Epic Enchant Stone | 30% |
| Void Core (unique crafting mat) | 15% |
Best use: The only source of Void Steel and Legendary Enchant Stones in the base game. Required for Void Edge crafting. Farm this as your endgame target.
Boss 6: Celestial Guardian (Event Only)
Difficulty: Extreme Recommended Gear: Dragonite or Void weapons
Only available during seasonal events. Drops Celestial Ore and Legendary Enchant Stones at the highest rate of any boss.
- Appears in the Event Zone for the duration of the event
- Requires 5-player group for reliable kills
- Drop rates are significantly higher than standard bosses to compensate for limited availability
Tip: Clear your schedule during event weeks. Celestial Guardian farming is the highest-value activity in the entire game when active.
Boss Efficiency Rankings
| Boss | Coins/Hour | Material Value/Hour | Recommend For |
|---|---|---|---|
| Iron Golem | Low | Low | Levels 3–8 |
| Lava Troll | Medium | Medium | Obsidian + Rare Stones |
| Stone Titan | Medium | Medium-High | Levels 12–14 |
| Dragon Boss | High | Very High | Primary endgame farm |
| Void Colossus | Very High | Highest (base game) | Void Edge progression |
| Celestial Guardian | Extreme | Highest overall | Event weeks only |
General Boss Tips
- Always bring health flasks — 3 minimum for Dragon, 5+ for Void Colossus
- Fire Aspect is mandatory for Dragon — don't attempt without it
- Learn the spawn timer — bosses respawn every 15–20 minutes; plan your runs accordingly
- Group farming beats solo for Dragon and Void — the time savings more than compensate for shared loot
- Use RBXPortfolio to decide whether to craft drops or trade raw materials based on current market values
