The Forge: Complete Enchantment Guide — Best Enchants & How to Stack Them
The Forge: Complete Enchantment Guide — Best Enchants & How to Stack Them
In The Forge, two identical weapons can have wildly different trade values depending on their enchantments. An unenchanted Dragonite Sword and a max-enchanted one aren't even in the same tier of the economy. Understanding the enchantment system is how you go from a mid-tier trader to someone building genuinely valuable weapons.
How Enchantments Work
Enchantments are buffs applied to crafted weapons using Enchantment Stones. Each stone has a type and a level (I through V). You can apply multiple enchantments to a single weapon, but:
- Each weapon has a maximum enchantment slot limit based on its tier
- Some enchantments are incompatible and can't exist on the same weapon
- Higher-tier weapons support more and stronger enchantments
- Enchantments are permanent once applied — choose carefully
Enchantment Slot Limits by Weapon Tier
| Weapon Tier | Max Enchant Slots | Max Enchant Level |
|---|---|---|
| Iron | 1 | III |
| Steel | 2 | III |
| Obsidian | 2 | IV |
| Dragonite | 3 | V |
| Void Edge | 4 | V |
| Celestial | 4 | V |
Celestial and Void Edge weapons are the only ones that can hold the most powerful enchant combinations — which is a major reason they command premium trade values.
Full Enchantment Type List
Sharpness (Damage)
The most universally valued enchant. Increases damage output.
| Level | Damage Bonus | Stone Required |
|---|---|---|
| Sharpness I | +10% | Basic Enchant Stone |
| Sharpness II | +20% | Refined Stone |
| Sharpness III | +35% | Rare Stone |
| Sharpness IV | +55% | Epic Stone |
| Sharpness V | +80% | Legendary Stone |
Trade impact: Sharpness V on any Dragonite+ weapon is the single highest-value enchant in the game. It's the first thing experienced traders look for.
Durability (Weapon Lifespan)
Reduces weapon degradation rate. Less relevant for trade value but still sought after.
- Durability III+ on Obsidian weapons makes them significantly more useful for sustained play
- Most traders prioritize Sharpness over Durability unless both slots are available
Fire Aspect
Adds fire damage on hit. High demand for PvP players.
| Level | Effect | Value Tier |
|---|---|---|
| Fire Aspect I | 2s burn | Medium |
| Fire Aspect II | 4s burn | Medium-High |
| Fire Aspect III | 6s burn + area ignite | High |
Trade note: Fire Aspect III on a Void Edge is a premium combination — fire damage stacks with Sharpness for burst-heavy combat builds.
Soul Drain
Steals health on hit. Rare enchant, only available from boss drops or high-tier Enchantment Stones.
- Soul Drain I: +3% lifesteal
- Soul Drain II: +6% lifesteal
- Soul Drain III: +10% lifesteal + glow effect
Trade impact: Soul Drain III has the most visual appeal of any enchant (adds a purple glow). It commands a significant cosmetic premium on top of its utility value.
Void Rift (Void Weapons Only)
Exclusive to Void Edge weapons. Deals bonus void damage that bypasses armor.
- Void Rift I: +15% armor penetration
- Void Rift II: +30% armor penetration
- Void Rift III: +50% armor penetration + void particle effect
This is the most powerful PvP enchant in the game. A Void Edge with Void Rift III + Sharpness V is the most sought-after weapon configuration in the entire Forge economy.
Celestial Blessing (Celestial Weapons Only)
Exclusive to Celestial Hammer. Adds AOE damage and a light burst effect on heavy attacks.
- Celestial Blessing I: Small AOE burst
- Celestial Blessing II: Medium AOE + 2s stun
- Celestial Blessing III: Large AOE + 3s stun + visual light explosion
Trade impact: A Celestial Hammer with Celestial Blessing III is the highest-value single item in The Forge — period.

How to Get Enchantment Stones
| Stone Type | Source | Enchant Levels Unlocked |
|---|---|---|
| Basic Stone | Common mine drops | I |
| Refined Stone | Deep mine drops | I–II |
| Rare Stone | Boss drops (20%) | I–III |
| Epic Stone | Boss drops (5%) | I–IV |
| Legendary Stone | Rare boss / event rewards | I–V |
Important: Legendary Stones are extremely rare. Don't waste them on Iron or Steel weapons. Save every Legendary Stone for Void Edge or Celestial weapons only.
Enchantment Mistakes to Avoid
- Using Legendary Stones on Obsidian — Huge waste. Save them for Void/Celestial
- Stacking duplicate enchants — You can't apply Sharpness twice; the second application is wasted
- Applying incompatible enchants — Fire Aspect and Void Rift cannot coexist on the same weapon
- Enchanting before you confirm the trade value — Always check RBXPortfolio for the enchanted version's value first
- Selling enchanted weapons to NPCs — NPC buy prices ignore enchantments entirely. Always trade player-to-player for enchanted items
Summary
- Sharpness V is the most universally valuable enchant
- Void Rift III is exclusive to Void Edge and the best PvP enchant
- Save Legendary Stones for endgame weapons only
- The peak tradeable item is Void Edge with Sharpness V + Void Rift III
- Always trade enchanted weapons P2P — NPCs don't value enchants
